History
The company was founded in 1957 as the „arbeitsgruppe für psychologische marktanalysen“ by Dr. Reinhold Bergler, Dr. Manfred Hambitzer and Dr. Klaus Haupt, originally as an academic company and not a commercial company. The methodologies deployed included in-depth psychological, qualitative interviews. In 1967, the company opened one of the first professional pharmaceutical market research departments. This was followed by a continued international expansion. As of August 2010, the company has offices in 13 countries and conducts market research in over 40 countries.

Karl Marx

Born in Trier Germany on 5th may 1818 and died on14th march 1883 at the age of 64 years.
Both of his parents were Jewish but converted to Protestantism because Karl's father Heinrich Marx wouldn't be able to develop his career as a lawyer due to the antisemitic laws pursued in Germany at that time.
After studying in Trier for 5 years Karl joined the Bonn university to study law on his fathers request.At this time he payed more attention to drinking,partying and hazard than to books and also became a member of Trier Tavern Club of which he was the president for a while. Eventually he built up large debts and was even hurt in a duel. When Karl's father found out about this he payed for all of his sons debts and decided he will find a better environment for him to continue with his studies.
Karl only spent one year in Bonn and after his fathers decision he moved to a more serious university of Friedrich Wilhelm in Berlin, there he met with so called young Hegelians who had a significant influence on him on him.
The title of Karl's doctoral thesis was The Difference Between Democritean and Epicurean Philosophy of Nature.The essay has been described as "a daring and original piece of work in which he set out to show that theology must yield to the superior wisdom of philosophy"  
Young Marx thought his work would seem too controversial to the conservative professors o at the Berlin University so he chose to submit it to a more liberal university of Jena where he was awarded his PhD based on that.He graduated in 1841.
After his studies Marx decided to take the path of a journalist and moved to Cologne in 1842.
In his articles he expressed his growing socialist views and criticized European Countries and their policies as well as members of the socialist movement whose ideas he thought where ineffective or absolutely anti-socialist.This soon lead to censoring by the Prussian government censors who checked all the articles before allowing printing. Eventually Marx got two newspapers banned from production for his public criticism of Russian monarchy, the Russian Tsar Nicholas I and the censorship instructions issued by the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm IV.
